Discounts

Sibling Discount: For the 2nd child in your family, deduct $300 from the seven or six week tuition, $250 from the five week tuition, $200 from the four or three week tuition, or $150 from the two week tuition. For a 2nd child who is a Three-Quarter Day camper, deduct $250 from the seven or six week tuition, $200 from the five week tuition, $150 from the four or three week tuition, or $100 from the two week tuition. For a 3rd child in your family, deduct $600 from the seven or six week tuition, $500 from the five week tuition, $400 from the four or three week tuition, or $300 from the two week tuition.  For a 3rd child who is a Three-Quarter Day camper, deduct $500 from the seven or six week tuition, $400 from the five week tuition, $300 from the four or three week tuition, or $200 from the two week tuition.

July 4 Holiday Discount:  If you enroll only for the first two weeks of camp (the weeks of June 29 and July 6), deduct $300 from the total tuition.  For the 3 year old Three-Quarter Day program, deduct $175 from the total tuition if you sign up for only the first two weeks of the season.

Referral Discount: If you refer a first-time family to Camp Riverbend, they should list your name when they apply under “Which family referred you to Camp Riverbend” on the application form. You earn a $100* discount for your summer tuition for each first-time camper from a first-time family that enrolls and has listed your name. This discount does not apply to enrollment of returning campers or siblings of returning or current campers. Discount is not valid if first-time family/camper drops out before attending camp. First-time families may list only one referring name. Discount may only be applied toward paid tuition in that camp season. *$50 discount for referred Three-Quarter Day camper.

Application Policy: Campers must apply for at least two consecutive weeks. Each camper’s application requires a $500 initial tuition payment which will only be charged if the camper is subsequently enrolled. There is no charge if you are waitlisted.  Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment.  A camper will be enrolled once you receive an email from Camp Riverbend confirming that your initial payment has been processed.

Once a camper is enrolled, $200 of this payment becomes non-refundable as a registration fee. We require a second tuition payment of $2000 per child on January 7, 2026.  The final tuition payment is due on April 1, 2026.

Weeks and friend requests must be finalized by January 7, 2026, and all tuition payments made prior to and on or after that date are non-refundable, regardless of dropouts or reductions in weeks prior to or during the camp season.

There is a 2.9% fee for credit card payments; there is no charge for EFT or debit card payments.

We will gladly set up a payment plan with you if you are paying by EFT/echeck or credit card; all payments under such plans must be made by April 1, 2026.

Each camper’s tuition includes either bus transportation to and from camp OR a place in our extended day program at camp (8:00-9:00 am and 4:00-6:00 pm).  There is an additional fee if your family wants to use bus transportation AND extended day daily or hold seats for a camper on two different buses. For the 3 Year Old Three-Quarter Day program, transportation to camp is included in tuition; with a sufficient number of Three-Quarter Day campers in a town, we will provide afternoon bus service at 2:00 pm. Otherwise, a parent or care provider must pick up these campers at 2:00 pm.

Policies

Visiting Camp:  We do not allow parent visits during the camp season.  We post photos and videos from Camp on the Camp Riverbend app for parents to enjoy. Parents can find instructions on how to download and use the app on the Parent Portal.

Days Missed:  Days missed due to injury, illness or any other reason may not be “made up” and will not result in a credit or refund.  In case of severe weather, Camp may be cancelled or dismissed early, as it was for one day in 2025 when New Jersey declared a state of emergency. One “snow day” has been built into our tuition structure.

Signing Out Campers: No one may take a camper out of camp without signing that child out at the Camp Office. Any adult picking up a camper must know the release code that you create. Campers can only be picked up before 3:00 pm or after 4:15 pm.

Medical Forms: The New Jersey State Youth Camp Safety Act and the American Camp Association require every camper to have an up-to-date medical form signed by a physician. Medical forms for the 2026 season are due to camp by May 15, 2026. Your child does not need a doctor’s exam just for this purpose. The doctor can fill out our form based on any physical done any time after May 15, 2025.  A parent/guardian must authorize Camp Riverbend to treat your child if he or she is sick or injured at Camp.

Tipping: Camp Riverbend has a no-tipping policy for all camp staff.

Birthdays during Camp: No food from home is allowed for camper birthdays, but you may send in goody bags with non-edible items.

Group Lists: Group lists are sent to the parents of children in each group, via email after the first week of camp. We include the cell phone of the first parent listed on the camper’s application.  If you don’t want your number given out, you must notify us by June 1, 2026.

Bussing:  All bus service will be at neighborhood or centralized bus stops, with the exception of any Three-Quarter Day afternoon bus drop offs.
